Because of this Early Math course along with my own wishes for my kids, I will be implementing a very organized, accessible, and engaging math center in my 2 year olds classroom. I really want my classroom to have a Math focus because I have a love of numbers and math.

Remember to change out the manipulative items. Make sure you have enough materials for all the children you serve. I was at a center that kept all the toys up except for a very few toys the shelves were turned around so the children couldn\’t play with them. needless to say the had a lot of behavior issues or they would block the math area off

Making an assessment of the materials that you utilize in the classroom and the contents of your conversations with a child/children will allow you an opportunity to plan for the daily experiences and make or purchase toys/materials that foster a math rich environment/experiences. This course will supporting my growth and development in the area of math in the early childhood programs.
