I think this is a simple but cool way to get children to think outside of shapes to recognize sizes. I think it’s neat that the children could describe tall/short stems by comparing them.

i liked how the children the children found that the dandelions have tall stem and short stem this led them to explore and learn that they can grow differently

I thought the extending measuring dandelions stems was a great pattern for teaching this Math concept.
