I give them a clipboard with paper fro them to write down their measurements. Great activity!

Are the kids able to look at the number that corresponds to the length of what they are measuring and tell you \”how long?\” I\’m interested in knowing how children use the tape measures in reality, and how able they are to accurately report the length. Thanks, Jen

Right now they are with our workbench and tools and the kids love to measure things. We like to measure and compare the sizes of different things to see which one is bigger, that seems to be their favorite.
