Math and science are absolutely as important as other subjects. I think that teachers of young children over focus on reading and writing rather than providing a more balanced approach to the curriculum. There are several reasons for this, so rather than focusing on \”why\” this is the case, we should focus on changing behaviors and educating teachers about math and science and early learning.

We are suppose to be a leading country in science. For example, we are the number one country involved in the space program, Nasa. We are also one of the leading countries of medicine. None of which would be possible without a superior knowledge in math and science. Anything you go to college for requires math or science classes, so i dont see a problem with Americans falling in those subjects. Do you feel that science and math are as important as other subjects?
