New Study Out
This morning I read this article Starting Well: Benchmarking Early Education Across the World. Fascinating stuff. The Lien Foundation, out of Singapore was commissioned by the Economist Magazine to create a wellness index to rank preschool environments across the world.
Where does the US rank? You might be thinking, “Somewhere in the top 10?” Well, you would be wrong. The US ranks #24, tied with the United Arab Emirates. This is out of 45 nations studied. We are very far behind all of the Scandinavian countries, most of the European countries, many of the Asian countries, and a few of the rest of the countries around the world.
Take a look at this study. What do you think? How can we do better?
